Practiced as a quantity surveyor in Johannesburg, South Africa, prior to immigrating to Australia. Practicing in Australia both as sole practitioner and for a while, in partnership with Ken Green.

Preparing Bills of Quantities, Cost Plans, Elemental Estimates, Feasibility Studies, Specified Bills of Quantities, Specifications, Progress Payments, Valuations of Variations, Schedules of Quantities, Expert Witness in numerous arbitration and Law cases in Sydney, Financial consultant and adviser to clients engaged in development projects.

Schools, hospitals, factories, residential, multi-storey residential, shopping complexes, court houses, Art Gallery of N.S.W., police stations, tertiary colleges of education, defence force installations, theatres, retirement villages, television and radio studios, telecom buildings, commercial multi- storey buildings, banks, clubs, swimming pools, University of N.S.W. buildings, religious buildings, redevelopment of existing parks, cost estimating of major road signs, pedestrian overpasses, etc.
